Saturday 1st March 2014 Another very successful open day, this year including a number of games and stalls for more entertainment and fun for all.
- Pony Rides!!! (limited tickets for allocated time slots and rider age conditions apply)
- Cake stall, BBQ, Raffle, Riding demonstrations
- Lolly stall, Pre-loved stall, Gumboot toss, Horseshoe throw, Penny on the chocolate, Pin the tail on the horse
- Feed the pony
On Saturday 9th March 2013 our Open Day saw another successful fun and fundraising day. Thank you so much to the community and kids who came along. We also had our Sponsor set up a gazebo and check everyone's spines necks and shoulders for free!
On Saturday 1st December 2012 we held an Open Day offering pony rides, show jumping exhibition, BBQ sausages, cakes and refreshments. What a pleasant and fun filled day it was too. The weather was sunny with a gentle breeze. The ponies were beautifully turned out and the kids had an absolute ball. Thank you to all the members and ponies who contributed their time and effort, and a huge thank you to our North Shore community who turned up to support and enjoy this fundraiser.
Inaugural Open Day - February 2012
On Saturday 18th February 2012, the Chelsea Pony Club held our first Open Day where hundreds of people from our neighbourhood and surrounding suburbs enjoyed a fun filled sunny day.
It is a privilege for us to be able to give back something extra special to the Birkenhead/Glenfield/Birkdale communities by opening up our facilities, riders and their ponies for a unique experience.
Children enjoyed pony rides in the arena and around one of the paddocks. Each rider was given a quick lesson about the saddle, stirrups, reins and had to wear one of our approved helmets. A Riding Member then walked with their pony and helped with photographs.
The Open Day included a BBQ and other activities. It was so successful that parked cars lined Eskdale Road for quite a distance.
