Once a season we run our open days.

We have been running annual open days since 2012. Open Day offering pony rides, show jumping exhibition, BBQ sausages, cakes and refreshments.  These are pleasant and fun filled days.

Thanks to all those who came out for last summer's event.  The ponies were beautifully turned out and the kids had an absolute ball.  Thank you to all the members and ponies who contributed their time and effort, and a huge thank you to our North Shore community who turned up to support and enjoy this fundraiser.

Inaugural Open Day - February 2012

On Saturday 18th February 2012, the Chelsea Pony Club held our first Open Day where hundreds of people from our neighbourhood and surrounding suburbs enjoyed a fun filled sunny day.

It is a privilege for us to be able to give back something extra special to the Birkenhead/Glenfield/Birkdale communities by opening up our facilities, riders and their ponies for a unique experience.

Children enjoyed pony rides in the arena and around one of the paddocks. Each rider was given a quick lesson about the saddle, stirrups, reins and had to wear one of our approved helmets. A Riding Member then walked with their pony and helped with photographs. 

The Open Day included a BBQ and other activities. It was so successful that parked cars lined Eskdale Road for quite a distance.
